| 13.09.2011 - I'm a Stranger Here Myself... |
| |
|
| |
We have reprinted the sequel to 'The Fat of the Land'. 'I'm A Stranger Here Myself' follows John and his family from Suffolk to West Wales where they farmed 62 acres.
Another reprint of 'The Fat of the Land' is now available. We have changed the cover back to Sally's original from 1961. It marks the 50th year in print for 'The Fat of the Land'. Quite an achievement!
Go to John Seymour's section of our site and grab a copy or two! |

| 14.05.2011 - bees... |
| |
|
| |
Well, May is the time for swarming bees. We watched these swarm onto a gingko tree. Wonderful. |
| |
| 16.04.2011 - What a perfect spring... |
| |
|
| |
Well, finally got round to posting some news. It has been all go in the garden, so little time to draw breath. The veg patch is growing fast. Broad beans, spuds and peas are in and various beans are sprouting. All the polytunnel seeds are germinated and growing well, raring to go, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, aubergines, cucumbers, melons etc. The overwintered veg has survived the cold, the garlic looks particularly healthy. We've taken a few more big trees down and have got a couple of years worth of firewood to process. Anne's flower beds are a riot of spring colour. We have been doing some long overdue landscaping and the place is looking better for it. Just got to keep at it and do a bit of work too! |
| |
| 11.02.2011 - More firewood... |
| |
|
| |
We've been felling more trees recently to reduce shade and give us a plentiful supply of firewood. Great to be outside and watching spring creep up on us. |
